After participating in this seminar, general practitioners will be able to:
- Demonstrate how to take a comprehensive history and undertake a thorough clinical examination for common musculoskeletal disorders of the shoulder, knee, foot and ankle.
- Identify when imaging or other related investigations are required for differential diagnosis and to ensure patient safety.
- Describe the various management strategies for common musculoskeletal conditions of the shoulder, knee, foot and ankle, from pain relief and self-management through to surgical intervention.
- Determine when referral is appropriate, and who to refer to.
