Dr Rachel Taylor
is a Sport and Exercise Physician having completed her training with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise physicians.
Rachel completed her undergraduate training in the UK graduating from the University of Bristol in 2006. She then spent the next five years working mainly in the fields of Orthopaedics and Emergency Medicine in both the UK and Australia.
She is currently the Tournament medical director for the Sydney International Tennis and has been involved with the event since 2013. In 2018 she was the Men’s Tournament team doctor for the Sydney 7s and in 2017 medical director for the Women’s Sydney 7s event.
Dr Taylor has worked with a variety of elite sporting teams. She spent three years working with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles providing medical coverage for their NSW Cup and U20s squads. She has worked with the GWS Giants AFL team during their inaugural 2012 season, Athletics Australia and the Young Mathilda’s Soccer Team. In addition, she has provided medical cover for a variety of events such as: FINA World Cup, Diamond League, GCC Para-Athletic Championships, Six Foot Track Endurance Race, Hurley Australian Open of Surfing and Youth Olympics.
